On behalf of the Pettigrew family we want to say thank you to the entire Baucom’s team. From start to finish everything was seamless and done with dignity.
From the beginning they made everything easy. They were not aggressive and did not try to oversell us anything we did not want. They explained every service and gave us examples of what things would look like or how they would go. They respected our wishes at all times. When anything needed to be corrected, they did so most of the time without needing to be asked. They asked our feedback every step of the way and we were able to make changes as needed. The facility itself is beautiful and well kept. Everyone there was friendly, empathetic, and compassionate toward the loss of our loved one as we grieved. The embalming and makeup team did a fantastic job. Our family and every guest said that our lost loved one looked just like himself, he looked so good! We were picked up early and services ran on time. The police escort to the Cemetery was so professional and well done. There were times when things were offered simply because they understood what we needed in the moment, that did not go unnoticed.
Overall, we were very pleased with the services, customer service, and treatment we received. Everything was top notch and we appreciated every moment of it. We will definitely be recommending Baucom’s to other friends and family. We give 5 out of 5 stars.

The pre-planning meeting (while our minds were still clear) with Mr. Baucom was not a sales pitch but rather a learning experience, based on which we made good decisions about the type of Life Celebration we wanted for our loved one, Allen (A.J.) Wade.

Following his death every interaction was warm and caring yet highly professional. Your staff asked questions, listened, and patiently guided us through each step of the funeral preparation. For example, Ms. Langston tenaciously worked with us and would not let us give up until the Obituary was everything that we wanted it to be. Shamari Jackson, Head Embalmer, learned as much as possible about his features, personality, and sense of style with results that brought a smile to the faces of all of us who participated in the parting view.

The services provided by Baucom are nothing short of exceptional! They treated me and my family with compassion & digmity from the initial phone call to the calls I make to them even after the services are over. The facility is beautiful and welcoming, the setup for my mom's memorial service was lovely and they were accommodating to allow us to personalize in a way as to honor her life. The technological, sound & media services were wonderful. The staff handled every part of this delicate mission with excellence while treating us with the utmost respect. They made sure that we understood everything and that we had everything we needed, they were upfront & fair about the pricing of things. Baucom's service was outstanding!! Their facility is beautiful and the people working there have wonderful spirits also. This resonated from our initial conversation with Ms. Cynthia to our consultation with Eric and our interaction with Shrylene for the obituary. We interacted with each of them on several occasions and each time, it was the same - GREAT! They listened attentively, offered professional advice and demonstrated their expertise to assist us throughout the process. Our family was very pleased with the body preparation, funeral services and traffic escort to Jefferson Barracks. When my mom passed away on December 21, 2021, I was like ok where do I start? I had a friend suggest Baucom's she had recently attended a funeral here. I called them that same day, and they didn't waste any time picking her up. From sitting down making the arrangements, and everything that details having a funeral they were on it. Mrs Shrylene who did my mom obituary was nothing short of amazing...she must have heard the sadness in my voice and stayed on the phone for an hour and half talking to me, and I needed to hear everything she said!!! Thank You for always using my mom's name when you spoke of her. Thank You Mr. Baucom, Tamika, Devon the entire staff I don't know all your names, but she looked beautiful, the minister and musician wonderful job. Very professional and courteous please think of them when your loved one transitions the right home makes all the difference!

When my father passed away on August 9, 2021, I immediately called Baucom’s Life Celebrations, they were very professional and so courteous. They came to our home and the care and love they shown and the dignity they displayed towards handling my father will never be forgotten, The facilities were very clean and smelled so good. To Mr. Kelvin Baucom, his wife, Regina, and the entire staff of the Baucom's Life Celebration Center. l’ve made several funeral arrangements with previous funeral homes, but today I can honestly say I’ve never had the experience or received the care, professionalism, and the heartfelt generosity that was given to my niece, my nephew, my family, and I. This was the service that was provided for our mother and sister, Brenda D. Boyd. It all started the moment when I called on the morning of July 19, 2021. When I called and heard the calming voice of Mr. Eric and then the two young men who came and picked Brenda up from her home. They prepared her and removed her with respect and dignity. Also when we arrived at the funeral home, we were received by the receptionist with care. Sitting down with Mr. Kelvin Baucom to make arrangements was excellent and to our Limousine drivers who were very professional. My niece Danielle and I were treated as if we were his family.

The finale was my sister! All I can say is OMG, they do an AMAZING job! When I tell you my sister Brenda looked simply beautiful. They made this process easier. Mr. Kelvin Baucom all this starts at the top, kudos to you for being a great leader! Thank you for the great service you and your staff extended to our family. Thank You! I would like to take this time to thank Kelvin, Regina & the entire staff at Baucom's Life Celebration for an outstanding and excellent service given to me and my family after the transitioning of my husband, Mr. Henry Bernard Hayes. Each staff person was very patient and understanding with me during the whole process of making arrangements for my husband's celebration of life service. They made the process easy since this was my first time sitting on this side of bereavement. I had so many questions but they took the time to answer everyone of them, from calling on the phone to texting. They did whatever it took to help make this process go smooth for me. Mr. Baucom availed himself to me and was with me every step of the way during the whole process. The day I picked up my husband's ashes was very emotional for me, but they allowed me to take as much time as I needed to process my grief, they were patient with me and for that I say "thank you" for showing genuine concern for me. The surprise "Memorial Throw" was so beautiful as it captured every memory of my husband's life with photos. I would like to take the time to acknowledge the wonderful experience I had dealing with Baucom’s Life Celebration Center. They recently did the home going celebration for my mother and made this process very simple and convenient for our family. This was awesome seeing that I had to move my mother from another funeral home to Baucom’s due them having poor customer at the previous location. Ms. Shrylene Langston was very helpful in assisting me in this process and also took the time to answer all of my questions until I understood everything that I needed to do.

Even when we eventually got to business and started talking about the different packages they offered they didn’t try to upsell us and, if anything, explained that doing these things wouldn’t bring our loved one back. I really appreciated that as sometimes funeral homes can get a bad reputation for trying to get family to spend unnecessary sums of money.

Another thing I was impressed with was how resourceful they were, here is just a small list of things they helped my family to accomplish:

· File paper work in the insurance company

· Designing of the obituary

· Provided a checklist of items we would need for our mother so we didn’t forget anything

· Providing a Pastor seeing it was hard to find one due to the current pandemic

· Provide an itemized breakdown of what things cost

I would suggest any and every one to use Baucom’s Life Celebration Center for their loved ones home going celebration as I have witnessed them to truly take pride in making sure you are comfortable and informed on everything you need to do. As someone who has over 20 plus years in the service industry, building real relationships with your customers is the key to keeping your doors open and I say Kelvin Baucom and this staff have done just that.

Mr. Kelvin Baucom, I could never express the love and compassion we felt from you towards our family. Kim in particular, regarding the passing of her husband Jacques Banks. I totally appreciate the conversations and the reference to GOD that lets me know that you're not just a funeral director, but a complete man of God. You set the tone for his us to be able to embrace saying our final good bye's to our loved one Jacques Banks. You put him away with dignity and for that we will forever be indebted.
