Mildred Cherie White was born in St. Louis, Missouri on June 20, 1965 to the union of Clarence and Mildred White. She is (was) the namesake of her beloved mother. Mildred’s parents as well as her brother Patrick and big sisters Tina, Valerie, and Patrice preceded her in death.
Mildred was once known as Lil Mill. She was the baby girl and the darling little sister who cherished her family. From her youth, her beauty was exemplified through her looks and long crown of hair.
Mill was a proud mother of four. And though she admired how independent her children had become, she was yet their supportive figure to bring guidance and love. She was grateful and thankful for being a grandmother. She spoke of it being her responsibility to make sure that her grandbabies knew God through her.
Mill was a mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She met and befriended many people. Many of her friendships started over 40 years ago. She would even make friends with her children’s friends. Some would say that she stole friends. Mill loved life.
In 2009 she was baptized and professed her love for Jesus Christ. As God prepared her, the spoken words became her centralized beauty which later made us call her The Prophetess. Whether it was giving prayers at church, in person, or by phone, The Prophetess would remind us of the blessings that God gives. She would say “Find the blessing”.
She was educated in the St. Louis Public School system and continued her education daily through studying the word. Not a day would go by without her words “Loving us forever in Jesus name”. Even during her final days she said, “It’s okay”. We know that God has her. Keep us proud and stand at that throne with God Almighty. Rest in Heaven.
Mildred leaves to cherish memories: Her children Kelly, Kevis, Diamond, and Chris.
