Ms. Sheilalla Denese ("Nee-Nee") Settle

Ms. Sheilalla Denese Settle “Nee-Nee” was born January 14, 1961, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Mary and Joseph Settle, who preceded her in death. Sheilalla was the second of three children born to this union.  

Sheilalla confessed to Christ as her Lord and savior at an early age. Nee-Nee received her education through the St Louis public school district. After graduating, she entered the work-force at St. Louis University Hospital and drove with Laidlaw for over 15 years.

Nee-Nee loved her family, shopping, and watching her scary movies and TV shows. If there were any sales that you wanted to know about, you could count on her. She was always there with her grandchildren. When you saw her, you saw them. She always enjoyed going to the gym with her brother, Kelvin.

She was the mother of two girls: Shaneisha Settle and Michqualla Browder, who preceded her in death.

On the morning of Wednesday, July 29, 2020, she peacefully transitioned into Heaven’s gates. Preceding her in death are her parents, Mary and Joseph Settle, and her loving daughter, Michqualla Browder.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her loving daughter, Shaneisha Settle; four grandchildren, Mico, Shae, Odis, and O’Mariyon; two great-grandchildren, Amorie and Ayriel; two brothers, Joseph and Kelvin Settle; best friends, Gwen and Mike; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
