Ms. Renee Turner Obituary

Renee Turner was born July 6, 1972, to the union of James Shannon and Catherine Turner-Shannon in St. Louis, Missouri. She was the youngest of  the children and attended Roosevelt High School, where she was on the cheerleading team.

Renee worked for the State of Missouri for 21 years, serving her community. She had sincere dedication and devotion to her job. She took pride in helping families in whatever capacity necessary. Renee was a part of the union and had a strong passion for equality. Renee wanted everyone to be treated fairly. She was a respected and valued co-worker and will be greatly missed.

Renee’s childhood was full of fun and exciting times. She grew up on Park Avenue, and her biggest childhood hobbies were playing with her friends and dancing. She took pleasure in dancing in her younger days, leading her to be a part of one of the most popular dance groups back in the day called the “Futuristics”. Renee enjoyed being around her friends so much, they formed their own social group called “ Devastating Heartbreakers” with Renee being a.k.a., “Too Cold to Hold”.

Renee was a devoted mother, no doubt. She always adored spending time with family and friends, dining out, and watching movies. She and her siblings enjoyed hanging out together, making one another laugh. Renee was known for having a sweet disposition and a caring personality, values that were instilled in her at a very young age. Renee’s favorite scripture was Psalm 23.

Preceding her in death were her parents, James and Catherine Shannon, and one brother, Clarence Turner. She leaves to cherish her memory: one son, Artrieo Robertson; one daughter, Anna-Renee Robertson; two brothers, Terence Turner (Dorthea) and Darain Turner; one sister, Mary Turner; an unborn grandchild; and a host of great-nieces, nephews, and cousins.
