Reflections of Tee-Tee's Journey
Mauritinia Campbell – Wali was the second child of Richard and Caroline Campbell born on January 5, 1968, in St. Louis, Missouri. She was the youngest girl of five children.
Mauritinia departed this life Monday, November 28, 2022, at St. Mary’s Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her mother Caroline Campbell; her grandparents, John and Fannie Ruth Freeman, Rayford and Mildred Campbell; six uncles George, Elmer, Larry, Roland, Rayford, and James; and an Aunt Rose Ann.
Educated in the Saint Louis Public School System, she was a proud graduate of Central Visual and Performing Arts in 1987, with a concentration in General Studies and Dance.
Mauritinia was lovingly known as “Tee-Tee” and “Teedy” by her loved ones. As an avid motorcyclist and an active member of local motorcycle clubs, she was affectionately known as “Demo”. She enjoyed traveling the country on her Harley and sharing her adventures.
Tee-Tee spent a major part of her life serving others within Social Services working with children, young adults, and others with developmental disabilities. She was a Teacher’s Assistant at Great Circle where she enriched the lives of her students and staff.
Everyone remembers Tee-Tee as funny, crazy, and outspoken. She was caring and exuded a style of tough love to those she cared for. She loved her family and was hardworking, always finding a way to make it all work out despite the many demands on her time and talents.
Mauritinia leaves to cherish fond and precious memories with her father Richard L. Campbell, Sr; one sister Eleanie and three brothers, Richard Jr., (Tonikita), Roland Hall (LaChel), and Felis; as well as two children, a son Ramon Campbell (Audris) and a daughter Shaahidah Smith. She was also a proud granny to five grandchildren Elijah, Christian, Alyssa, Saryah and LA; and four nephews and two nieces. She also leaves behind a host of great nephews, great nieces, cousins, friends, co-workers, her biker family, and one special biker sister (Storm), and a special cousin, Lisa.
