Mary Ella Jackson was born to die late, Nelly & Harvey Pierce from Okolona, Mississippi.
Mary was the eldest of seven children which all preceded her in death. She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age. She united with First Baptist Church of Kinloch, under the leadership of the late Rev. Walter L. Johnson; now under the leadership of Pastor Jason Durham, Sr. where she attended until her health failed.
She was wed in holy matrimony to the late, William Jackson, Sr. in 1943; and to this union, two children were born. William Jackson, Jr. who preceded her in death, and Gaynell Jackson; one daughter-in-law, Gertrude; three granddaughters, Joletta, Trekeia and Crystal (Nell); one grandson Dushai, who preceded her in death; one great granddaughter and four great grandsons. Two sisters-in-law, Doris Reed Burton, and Zenobia Jackson; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
