Ms. Linda Allen Obituary

The Life Journey of Linda Fay Allen

Linda Fay Allen of St. Charles, Missouri via Detroit, Michigan and originally from Sallis, Mississippi was born October 13, 1955. She was the oldest daughter of the late Flora (Allen) Simmons and the late Joe Eillis. In addition to her parents, Linda was also preceded in death by her brother Dorzell Allen.

This beautiful soul was lively, loved some good soulful music, and adored her family. In 1981 Linda gave birth to her only child, a beautiful baby girl who would light up her world even more. Linda had complications from the birth of her daughter that left her hospitalized and needing therapy to overcome them. She overcame and soon called her bundle of joy a “Blessed Baby.”

Linda regained her strength and loved to travel. She shared her enjoyments with her baby girl, so it’s no wonder where her daughter gets her travel bug from and it’s a blessing that Linda was able to travel in her time of better health with her daughter and grandbabies making special memories they will have to cherish for a lifetime.

Linda worked at Fort Military as a Social Worker then she went to the Wayne Taylor District County DHS where she retired after 25 years. Linda’s pride and joy has always been her daughter, so it was not a surprise when she decided to relocate to Missouri to be with her daughter and grandbabies in 2011. Family was everything to her, and the memories made and loved shared only gives a glimpse of the joy, happiness, and love Linda shared not only with her family, but also her church family.

She was an active member at Beulah Baptist Church in Westland, MI where she served on the Trustee Board as well as sang in the Senior Choir. Upon relocation, she kept her love for the church by joining Ark of Safety where she was a part of the choir, the ladies of Mature and Marvelous and other organizations that lead her closer to God’s love and comfort.

Linda was a loving soul who would help anyone in need if she could. Her smile would leave you feeling warm and embracing good conversations and laughter. She worked hard and continuously cared for everyone around her. One thing is for sure, Linda’s beautiful spirit and smile will truly be missed.

Linda is survived by her daughter La Nikka Blackmon (Ronald Forrest); grandchildren Javian Anderson and Lauryn Blackmon; nieces, nephews, siblings and a host of friends and family.
