Reflections of Kayla’s Time With Us

It is with profound sadness that we announce the untimely passing of our beloved Kayla, a shining light in our lives, who left us far too soon. Though her time with us was brief, she touched the hearts of all who knew her and will forever be cherished and remembered.

Kayla Simone Patterson was born on March 22, 1998, to loving parents Mr. Samuel and Mrs. Aretha Patterson. From the moment she entered this world, her infectious laughter and radiant smile brought joy to everyone around her. She had an adventurous spirit and an insatiable curiosity about the world, always eager to learn and explore.

In her short time with us, Kayla made a tremendous impact on those she encountered. Her kind and compassionate nature endeared her to friends and family alike. She had a remarkable ability to lift spirits and offer unwavering support to those in need. Despite the challenges she faced, she approached life with resilience and a remarkable positivity that inspired us all.

A shining star in the field of technology, Kayla was a Senior Systems Support Engineer at MasterCard. Her intelligence was not only reflected in her academic achievements but also in her professional accomplishments. With a keen mind, a relentless spirit, and a heart full of passion, she made significant contributions to her field. Her colleagues admired her for her dedication, commitment, and friendly demeanor, making her a cherished part of their team.

However, it was not just the world of technology that Kayla illuminated with her brilliance. She also had a profound passion for the arts, particularly dance, that was as deep as her faith. Kayla was a gifted dancer,  finding solace and using her movements as a form of expression, creating beautiful and inspiring praise dances.  Each dance she choreographed or performed was a testament to her incredible spirit, a fusion of grace, passion, and spirituality that moved audiences to tears and applause.  Her love for dance was infectious, and she used it as a medium to spread joy, love, and positivity. Her legacy in the world of dance is a beautiful tapestry of beauty and passion that will continue to inspire and uplift future generations of dancers.

While we mourn the loss of our precious Kay, we find solace in the memories we shared and the impact she made on our lives. Her memory will forever be etched in our hearts, and we will carry her light with us as we navigate the journey ahead.

Kayla is survived by her loving parents, Samuel and Aretha Patterson,  four sisters and two brothers, who held her close and treasured every moment they had with her. She is also survived by her grandparents, Jacqueline Ellison, Jerry Oliver and Samuel Patterson Sr,. and a host of extended family members, friends, and loved ones.

As we bid farewell to our precious Kayla, let us remember her infectious laughter, her boundless love, and her indomitable spirit. May her light continue to shine brightly in our lives, and may her soul find eternal peace.

Rest in peace, dear Kayla. You will be forever missed and forever loved.
