VICTORIA FAYE JONES was born November 24, 1955, in Saint Louis, Missouri to Charles and Ruby Mary. She was the fifth of nine children. Preceding her in death were her father; mother; sister, Carolyn Boyd; brother, Gregory Boyd and father-in-law, Eddie Jones.
On October 17, 1975, Victoria married her high school sweetheart, Stephen Jones, who also preceded her in death. From their union, they were blessed with three beautiful daughters, Venus Antionette, SanRica Faye and Angel Tennille.
Victoria was educated in the Wellston School District and graduated from Halter High School in 1973. She obtained an Associate Degree in Healthcare from Al-Med Academy where she graduated at the top of her class. After nearly forty years in the healthcare industry, she retired from management at Centene Corporation.
Victoria was baptized and accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior early in life and was a member of New White Stone Missionary Baptist Church into her adult years. Victoria loved creating things from nothing and making it something special. Her favorite past times included singing, cooking, gardening, sewing and spending time with her family, especially during the holidays. She was the matriarch of her family and adored by family, friends and co-workers.
Victoria transitioned with her three daughters by her side on August 23, 2020. Her loving spirit and countless fond memories are cherished by: her daughters, Venus Jones, SanRica Morris and Angel Braxton (Lafayette); grandchildren, Alayna Victoria Pittman, Jordan Xavier Braxton and Jonathan Noah Braxton; her siblings, Duane Boyd, Maurice Carter, Terry Hampton, Jacqueline Boyd, Amanda Boyd and Robin Boyd; her mother-in-law, Duetta Mae Jones and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and special friends.
