Mrs. Pamela Randall Obituary

Pamela Randall (Deanes) was born on April 11, 1957, in St. Louis, Missouri and was the second child born to Virgil L. Kaleem (Deanes) and Pearline D. Hawkins (Farr).

To her family and friends Pam was affectionately known as Jazzy Pam, Auntie Pam, or Drama Queen.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Michael and Anthony Deanes; nephew, John O. Clark III; and a friend near and dear to her heart, Beth Lampkin.

Pam professed her faith at an early age at St. Bridget of Erin’s Catholic Church. She was currently a member of St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church, where she remained a devoted Christian.

Pam worked at Prince-Gardner, Cupples, St. Louis Post Dispatch, and more recently at Lafayette Industries as a supervisor of employees with disabilities. Pam also volunteered in many charitable organizations throughout her life, including Food Outreach and Big Brother Big Sisters of America.

She took a liking to many hobbies throughout her life. She played softball, and she was an avid bowler until recently. Pam loved anything that involved spending time with her family, especially trips and holiday gatherings. She believed that she was the best cook in the family. As a teenager, Pam found the love of Jazz music, and she’d always say, “I’ve got to have some Jazz.”

Pam was always there for anyone who needed help.  If she couldn’t do it or didn’t have what you needed, she made sure to send you to someone else. Our family joke is, “Pam knows everybody.” She never turned anyone away and was well loved because of it.

On October 5, 2002, she entered into Holy Matrimony with Jamie K. Randall and they just celebrated 19 years of marriage.

In the early morning hours of Saturday, October 9, 2021, the Lord bestowed His everlasting Grace and Mercy upon Pam by calling her home and giving her eternal Life. The Lord knew it was best to end Pam’s over-nine-year battle with Leiomyosarcoma.

She leaves to celebrate her life: husband, Jamie Randall; two daughters, Tiana Cotton and Kalima Woody; parents, Virgil Kaleem and Pearline Hawkins; four grandchildren, Briana Cotton, Troy Henderson, Jr., Jakhia McCoy, and Ahmya Wright; three sisters, Darlene Elston (Don) who she lovingly referred to as “Deena,” Sylvia Deanes, and Charlene Parham; one brother, Virgil L. Deanes, Jr. (Angela); two stepdaughters, Jessica Elliott (Lamar) and Ashley Randall; parents-in-law, Thomas and Anna Hicks, and Claude Randall; three bonus grandchildren, Karson and Kynlee Elliott, and Layla Cook-Howard; one bonus son, Ahmad Wright; one bonus daughter, Tammy Cook; a very special cousin, Ophelia Carson (Mama Phil); lifelong friends, Paula Clay, Janet Woody, Donna Conway, Brenda Hayes, Nina Rene Shavers, Dana Harris, Connie Myles, Edith Young, Glenda Hardin Miller, Chandria Howard, and Jennifer Bui; a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and endless friends; along with extended families, The Elstons, Bradleys, and Phillips.
