LEE WILLIE PRYOR was born in the City of Palestine, Texas on March 15, 1922 to her father, Elzie Pryor and mother, Lezada Wiggins.
She attended grade school in her hometown and remained there until she moved to Delight, Arkansas. In Delight, she met Clyde Delap and they married February 20, 1943 in Pike County, Arkansas; and later moved to St. Louis, Missouri in 1945.
Lee Willie accepted Christ at an early age and by her own testimony, was filled with the spirit. She was a member of Blessed Hope Bible Church for many years. During her later years, she enjoyed listening to radio and television ministries and reading her Bible. Lee Willie loved the Lord and was looking forward to the day in which she would go home to be with her Savior.
At the age of 99, Lee Willie departed this life on Thursday, March 25, 2021 in Dallas, Georgia in the home of her youngest daughter Ruby Elmore Delap, with Ruby and her son, Clyde Delap, Jr., both by her side.
Lee Willie was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Clyde Delap, Sr., her sister Hazel Johnson, and grandson Brandon Mc Williams.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her children, eldest son, Curtis (Claudette) Bradley, Sr., Clyde Delap, Jr., Aubrey Delap, Janice Delap-Abby, Ruby Delap-Elmore, and Gary Delap; two sisters, Bernice Whatley and Francis Pryor; two brothers, George Edward Pryor and Jesse Lee Pryor; grandchildren, Quentin Delap, DeAndre' Delap, Cardell Delap, Candice Delap, Gary Delap, Jr., Stephanie Delap, Joshua Delap, Audrey Delap, Dejuan Delap, Shannon Delap, Adrienne Morris, Curtis Bradley, Jr., LeVoid Bradley, Raymond Bradley, Elisabeth Bradley, and Theresa Bradley; a host of nieces, nephews, great and great-great grandchildren, and many friends and loved ones.
