Katrina Renee (Turner) Williams was born March 10, 1958 in Miami, FL to the late Carrie Bell (Williams) Turner and Anthony Franklin Turner, Sr. She was one of 5 children. Her brother Anthony Franklin Turner, Jr. preceded her in death.
Her family relocated from Cocoa Beach, FL to St. Louis, MO and she was educated in the Hazelwood School District. Katrina was a graduate of Hazelwood West Sr. High School and attended St. Louis Community College at Florissant Valley studying Early Childhood Education. Katrina accepted Christ under the late Pastor Robert S. Johnson, Sr. and was a faithful member of the First Missionary Baptist Church of Robertson and served until her demise.
Katrina met and married Curtis Gervan Williams on August 9, 1980 and was a faithful, devoted and loving wife of 25 years prior to Curtis preceding her in death. To this blessed union 4 children were born: Tiffany Renee, Gervan Anthony, Cameron Jonathan and Aliyiah Nicole.
Katrina loved her family and said her children and grandchildren were the 'gems' in her crown. She was a true servant and always said "God gave her a calling with babies and old folks." Because of her special calling and love for children, her home was opened to all and they loving ref erred to her as "Granny". Anyone who knew Katrina, knew she always had a good meal and truthful advice readily available. Her spirit of helps was her gift to God's kingdom and was shown in her caring nature and nurturing spirit. She acquired a host of additional friends who she loved as extended family members. On December 17, 2020 Katrina answered another call and was called by her Savior from labor to rest.
Katrina leaves to cherish her memory: her children Tiffany, Gervan (Rachel), Cameron (Jasmyn) and Aliyiah; her father Anthony Turner, Sr.; her sisters, Anthoinette Laidler, Angela (Charles) Quigless and LaShonda Turner-Brown; grandchildren Mackenzie, Rylie and Brycen, extended grandchildren; sister-in-law Elnora Collins; brother-in-law Johnny (Myra) Williams; a host of special friends which are too many to name, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. She will forever live in our hearts and minds.
