Geneva Richerson was born on June 17, 1941 in Sledge, MS to Rozenia Rushing (Means) and Curtis Means. To this union 3 girls were born. Rozenia later married James Mosby after her husband (Curtis passed). She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Curtis Mae, her granddaughter Anastasia and her daughter-in-law Crystal.

She attended school in Sledge, MS until the passing of her grandfather afterwhich, she relocated to St. Louis, MO where her education continued at Beaumont High School, Hubbard Business College and Forest Park Community College at which time she became a Certified Nutritionist. She worked for the St. Louis Public schools in that position for over 30 years until she retired.

Geneva was baptized and confessed Jesus as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She was always an active member of any church she attended, including; Prospect Hill Missionary Baptist Church, St. Louis Christian Center and Her most recent church home was Ark of Safety Christian Church under the leadership of Pastor Raymond D. Horry. At "The Ark", she was the head of the Baptismal Ministry where she served faithfully until her unexpected passing.

She married Ralph Richerson on June 17, 1961 and from their union came 1 daughter and 4 sons. Geneva was a sweet, loyal, and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister, auntie, niece, cousin, and friend. She also had a humorous side.

She will be truly missed by many. She loved the O'Fallon Community where she lived and served for over 50 years. She even ran for Committee Person at one time. She supported her current Alderman John C. Muhammad like a son, and for him she was always at the top of his list.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory her loving husband Ralph, daughter Cherie, sons Ralph (Lawanna), Stanley (Cheryl), Pierre, and Corey; her sister Dorothy Coleman; 22 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews and so many friends.
