Mrs. Ernestine Walker Obituary

A beloved mother, grandmother (Maw-Maw), great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. ERNESTINE MOORE-WALKER was born in Oakland, CA to Ernie Earl Moore and Hattie Sims Moore on March 2, 1948. She gained her heavenly wings on January 17, 2021.

Ernestine grew up in St. Louis, MO and was educated in the St. Louis Public School District. Ernestine began working at an early age as a Nanny, this is where her love for children grew. She then became the school cook for University City School District where no child went hungry and every child had an honorary grandmother. She became ill and had to retire from U-City being remembered as the best lunch grandmother ever!

Ernestine loved to cook, clean, shop, have a good time and love on her children and grandchildren. She had an unbreakable bond with her siblings, nieces, nephews and mostly anyone she encountered. Ernestine opened her kitchen to everyone, and no one ever had any complaints about her one-of-a-kind cooking.

Ernestine accepted Christ at an early age and did not play when it came to the Lord, you could catch her showing her love for the Lord in her praise every Sunday. Heaven has gained a beautiful angel; we will deeply miss the pillar you were for our family.

Ernestine was preceded in death by her parents: Ernie and Hattie Moore; brother: Ernie Earl Master Moore; and son: Leon Lamont Moore.

She leaves behind her daughter: Antonia "Angel" Walker; grandchildren: Danielle Oasiel) Davis, Deonne Moore, Kristen Moore, RaQueal Bryant, Terrell Ryland, Kieon Moore, Charles

Boyd and Matthew Walker; great grandchildren: Chayce Porter-Reynolds, Chance Moore, Chaz Jones, Jaydynn-Marie Moore, Lyric Moore andJaylin Boyd; sister: Diane Jones; nieces: Roschelle Durant and Doris Smith; nephews: Dwight Price and Darryle Marcus; and a host of great nieces, great nephews, and cousins.
