Annie Mae Lyles affectionately known as "Shag" was the only child born January 5, 1952 to Frances Mae Lewis and Bud Windham in Aliceville, Alabama. Both parents and two grandsons preceded her in death.
Annie attended Druid High School in Tuscaloosa, AL and moved to St. Louis, MO and attended Central High School where she graduated. She then went on to Urban Technical Center for her nurse's aid course in St. Louis.
Annie was a loving mother and wife. She was a very outspoken grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. She was a very hard worker as a nurse and housewife. Her favorite hobbies were shopping and the casino.
Annie married Raymond Lyles and gained 5 children who loved her, two of which preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish a loving husband Raymond Lyles, her children Michael Lewis (Shalaya Evans), Ann Winston, Montrell Lewis, Ann Logan (Mark), Nancy Green, (Patrick), Mark Lyles (Dawn); one goddaughter, Felicia Rowe Walton, 26 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild; Two special sister friends whom she loved so dearly Dalonia Winston and Earline Harrell.
