Mr. Wallace Bland, Sr. Obituary

Wallace Bland was born October 12, 1967 in St. Louis, Missouri to Gene Hamilton and Susan Petty at Homer G. Phillips Hospital.

He attended Columbia Elementary Middle School and Vashon High School. He was very athletic and enjoyed playing sports.

He was baptized at an early age and confessed Christ as his Lord and Savior and continued his relationship with God until he was called home.

In 1995, Wallace moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota where he continued his education and graduated from Minneapolis Community and Technical College in 1999.

Wallace was a very loving man who loved hard, especially when it came to his children, giving them unconditional love. Wallace's heart was pure and he was not ashamed to let you know how much he loved you. Wallace touched many lives and left his mark on their hearts which can never be replaced. Wallace was a comedian by nature, not just to friends, but to family also. He would keep you laughing at all costs. Even if you were going through, Wallace would say a joke, do a dance or something to keep you laughing. He was an avid roller-skater who loved to skate. He found peace and happiness in skating.

Wallace was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Leo Bland and Gene Hamilton, Sr., grandmothers, Mary Alice Bland and Altha Hamilton; his son, Wallace James Bland, Jr.; brother, Alexander Hamilton and two grandchildren, Zsaquise and Jace.

He leaves to cherish precious memories his parents, Gene Hamilton, Jr., and Susan Petty; five brothers, Cedric Bland, Gene Hamilton, Jr., Duane Hamilton, Ronald Hamilton, and Gerald Hamilton; one sister, Makeitra Bland; three children, Zsazekia, Joshua and Wallisha Bland; grandchildren, Dontavion, Joanna, Jacob, Knowledge, Cash, and Kyndall; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
