It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Torin Dujuan Triplett, a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend. Torin was born on June 11, 1973, in St. Louis, MO, to his loving parents, Elder Gillis and Emma Triplett.
From the moment Torin came into this world, his infectious happiness brought joy to all those around him. His family affectionately nicknamed him "Happy," a name that perfectly captured his joyful spirit. To his family and friends, he will always be remembered as Happy.
As the youngest of seven children, Torin grew up in a household deeply rooted in faith. His father's role as a preacher meant that Torin was a PK, a preacher's kid, and his upbringing in the church shaped his character and values. Torin was baptized at a young age at Pentecostal Power Church, where he and his family would sing together, sharing their melodic voices with the congregation.
Torin had a passion for good food and enjoyed preparing meals for his loved ones. This love for cooking led him to pursue a career as a chef, working in various restaurants throughout St. Louis. His culinary skills brought joy and satisfaction to those who had the pleasure of tasting his creations.
Torin is survived by his wife Mercy; his children, Torin and Trecia; and his bonus children, Joshua, Jacob, and Ray Carter. He also leaves behind his beloved mother, Lady Emma Triplett; his siblings Carlonda (Kenny) Williams, Gillis Anthony Triplett, Pierre Triplett, Rickkita (Isaiah) Edwards, Scott (Patricia) Triplett, Cortney (Angela) Triplett, Shellie (Julius) Nedeles, and Diane (Joe) Thompson. Additionally, Torin is survived by his uncles, aunts, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Torin will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in eternal peace, and may his family and loved ones find comfort in the cherished memories they shared with him.
