Mr. Lonnie Ford Obituary

Lonnie Joe Ford was born on July 19, 1979, in St. Louis, MO, to Bobbie Jean and Eddie Ford. He was one of a set of twins born to this union.

Lonnie was very spiritual and accepted Christ at an early age. He attended Galilee Baptist Church, where he was baptized.

Lonnie attended McCluer Senior High. After high school, Lonnie worked at St. Louis Public Schools and Job Corps, where he left  his mark on everyone he encountered. He was currently employed as a corrections officer for the Jennings Station Police Department.

Lonnie was a humble, selfless, and very charismatic man. He was constantly thinking about the wellbeing of family and friends. He had a smile that could light up any room. He always had some type of joke that was sure to have those around him laughing. Lonnie was truly wise beyond his years and was an avid reader who always strived to learn something new. He took that knowledge and instilled it into his children, nieces, nephews, and anyone else he felt needed it.

Lonnie departed this life on Sunday, January 9, 2022. He was preceded in death by: his mother; twin brother, Ronnie; stepmother, Lenore; brother, Eddie Jr.; and nephews, Alfred Lance III and Demetrius Miller.

He leaves to cherish his memories: children, Landon and Laniyah Ford; father, Eddie Ford of Texas; sisters, Felicia Williams, Sabra Vaughan, and Willa Kimble (Tony), all of Florida; brother, Canton Miller (Michelle) of St. Louis, Missouri; and a host of aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
