Mr. Leon Moore Obituary

A beloved father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend, LEON LAMONT MOORE was born in St. Louis, MO to Ernestine Moore on June 13, 1967. He gained his heavenly wings on Thanksgiving (his favorite holiday): November 26, 2020.

Leon grew up in Elmwood and was educated in the Ritenour School District. He was popular amongst his friends and Elmwood family whom he loved dearly. Leon went into the work field at an early age as a camp counselor for the Elmwood Summer Camp which was the beginning of his journey to work in management. Leon enjoyed skating with his friends at Saints which was one of his many talents. He also loved his classic cars which he loaded with the loudest bass speakers to let everyone know he was coming. No one will ever forget his epic pink Cadillac and his talking car alarm! Leon also enjoyed a great party; he was king of all hosts and the life of the party. In order to be around Leon you had to have tough skin because he was known for his epic joning sessions.

Leon continued to live his life to the fullest despite his massive life adjustment at age 43 when he lost his eyesight. He was optimistic in every life obstacle and made the best of all trials thrown his way. The highlight of his life was when he became a grandfather. The mention of his grandchildren put a smile on his face every time. He was anxiously awaiting the arrival of his first great nephew. Leon will always be remembered by his infectious laugh and smile. His presence in our lives will be greatly missed.

Leon was preceded in death by his uncle, Ernie Earl Master Moore.

He leaves behind his daughters: Danielle Qasiel) Davis, Deonne Moore, Kristen Moore and Kleon Moore; grandchildren: Chayce Reynolds, Chance Moore, Chaz Jones, Jaydynn-Marie Moore and Lyriq Moore; mother: Ernestine Walker; step-father: Antonio Walker; sister: Antonia "Angel" Walker; niece: RaQueal Bryant; nephews: Terrell Ryland, Charles Boyd and Matthew Walker; Aunt: Diane Jones; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
