Kourtland was born to the union of Bridgette Taylor and Kevin Henderson on May 23, 1996. Kourtland confessed his life Christ at an early age and was baptized under the leadership of Rev. Robert L. Houston at Mt. Gideon MB Church, where he participated in the children’s choir.
Kourtland also attended Barak Christian Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Lynn and Rev. Dr. Stacey Mims where he remained until his death.
Kourtland played Football and Baseball for Matthews Sickey with Coach Cory and Bob White from the age of 5 until he was 13 years old. Kourtland continued with football while attending high school at Northwest Academy of Law where he graduated in 2014. Kourtland had a spark for life and his motto was “Live life to the fullest” and he did just that. Kourtland had a great sence of style and was an impeccable dresser. He lived and shopped like he was rich with no limits. Just like he lived his life.
Kourtland was proceeded in death by his aunt; JeaNette Taylor, his brother Adrian (Luh A), his godfather Tom Payne Hendrix, and his grandfather Charles Dickerson,
Kourtland leaves to cherish in his memory his parents Bridgette Taylor and Kevin Henderson, his two wonderful children Karson Adrian Arthur Henderson, and KaMauri Desiree Henderson and four honorary children Breighlyn Harvey, Amelia and Amir Taylor, and McKenzie Townley. His grandparents Saundra and Malcolm Taylor, Eddie and Cleo Marriwether and Maurice Thomas. His siblings Tyerra, Maria, Tykerra, Kevin Jr., Adrian, Stillwell Brothers, Brandon Hardy, Ciara Pruitt, and Nila. Special Aunts Melissa Taylor and Stephanie Henderson, and Linda Smotherman. A Special Uncle Anthony Smotherman. Godparents Stacey Mims, and Carol Pruitt. Contriece Williams and a host of aunts, uncles, cousin and friends.
