Mr. Kerwin Lance Hampton began his journey February 9, 1956. He was a magnificent person who was the oldest boy to Ann and Leroy Hampton. He was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Hampton and oldest sister, Cheryl Chalmers.
Lance united in matrimony on March 1, 1996 to Cynthia Clark. Their union produced one daughter, Donetta Harrold and three stepchildren, Avis, Nathaniel and Mario.
Lance was educated in the St. Louis public schools and attended Lexington Seven Day Adventist School and Beaumont High. Lance worked over 30 years at Barnes Jewish Hospital and retired in 2000.
Lance was a free spirit. He enjoyed music, dancing and sports. He loved to tell a joke or two and participate in a prank or two with others. He loved to laugh and smile from his enjoyments of life. His FAMILY meant the world to him and he always wanted them to be happy and to know that he LOVED them, UNCONDITIONALLY.
Lance leaves to cherish his memory: His loving mother, Ann Hampton; three daughters: Tangie Ann, Kisha Joy and Donetta Harold; three step children, seven grandchildren, three sisters: Rhonda (William) Ming, Bridget "Neicy" Hampton and Natalie Joy (Cecil) Hampton; two brothers: Mark (Yolanda) Hampton and Dexter Scott Hampton. He also leaves a favorite aunt, Mildred Boykin and favorite uncle, Al Curtis (Carolyn) Robinson; as well as eight sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
