Obituary

MR. JAMES WALTER WILLIAMS was born to the union of James W. Williams and Maria (Wooten) Williams in Kansas City on July 2, 1946. He was the first of nine children. His parents and daughter-in -law, Lori, preceded him in death. James was affectionately called "Jim or Jimmy" by all who met him. At an earlier age,James was baptized.

James was joined in holy matrimony on October 15, 1963, to the love of his life, Claudette Y. Williams. They were happily married for 58 years. James loved to tease Claudette about who was the oldest. To this union were born three sons: Jimmy, David Martin, and Brandon.

James was extremely proud of and dearly loved his three sons. James was dedicated to his eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren: Martin, Jasmine, Chase, Alei, Raigen, Dave, Julian, Alysia, Ma'Lori, Khalil, Nyailah, Miyanna and Jamie. It brought a huge smile to James whenever you mentioned any of his seeds. They were his heart and it brought him pride and joy to watch them go forth and succeed in life. He was a faithful fan when it came to their academics, sports, and families. His family and friends loved and adored him dearly as well.James was a true music lover and huge sports fan. He would spend hours listening to music, watching sports and talking on the phone to his kids and grandkids.

James worked as an Electrician for Chrysler for more than 30 years. He loved working on old computers during his retirement and watching his grandkids events. He kept up with the latest gadgets to stay in contact with his grandchildren.

James departed this life on Friday, March 26, 2021, at the age of 75. He leaves to cherish his memory: his loving and devoted wife, Claudette; his children, Jimmy, David Martin (Kelly), Brandon (Danille); eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, brother-in-law, Ronald Pointer; sister-in-law, Marva Martin; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
