Reflections of Life
Ivory Lue Baynham 72, of Danville, Illinois formerly of Decatur, Illinois, departed this earthly life on Monday, September 18, 2023.
Ivory was born on April 19, 1951 in Robertson, Missouri, the son of Elnora Baynham and Clifford L. Baynham Sr.
Ivory graduated from Saint Louis Public Schools. He honorably served four years in the United States Navy. Following his Active-Duty Service, he worked at McDonnell Douglas. Later he became certified in HVAC and plumbing, and then worked at Harris Construction Company until his failing health.
Ivory never met a stranger and loved to help everyone. He loved playing Chess and he taught numerous people, and was known as a Master Chess player. Another favorite pass time was shooting pool, throwing darts, and singing. He also loved to cook and make a meal out of anything in the kitchen.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories his son: Ivery L. Baynham; sisters: Vallestine Baynham of Hazelwood, Missouri; Carolyn Johnson of St. Ann, Missouri; Anjuhre L. (Gregory) Baynham-Branyon of Schertz, Texas; and Phyllicia H. (Willie) Townsend of O’Fallon, Missouri; a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Adolphus Reid; wife, Anna Baynham; son, Clifford I. Baynham; sisters, Cassandra Baynham-Walker; Jacqueline (Jackie) Jones; Robyn K. Brenson; and brother, Clifford L. Bayham, Jr.
