The Times of Gregory B. Robinson
Ecclesiastes 3
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the Heaven:
A Time to be Born
Gregory Robinson was born in St. Louis Missouri, in 1965, to Louis and Mary Bertha Robinson. He attended Berkely Senior High School.
A Time to Transition
Gregory’s flight on earth ended September 6, 2023. Before he departed, he accepted Christ as Lord over his life, with his sister Maryann Griffin as a witness on August 16, 2023. A new believer, but never new to God.
A Time to Plant
Gregory never married, but bore a son who preceded him in death, named Mario Robinson. Gregory was the go-to person for bringing family unity. Today is a reflection of just that. He knew every family member’s name and address on both his father and mother’s side.
A Time to Love
Gregory loved hard but lived harder. His love toward his family had deep roots that many couldn't understand. It wasn't anything he wouldn't do for family, if asked, and if it was in his reach.
A Time to Pluck up
Gregory was 7 months clean of any substance abuse before his departure. We watched him fight the hardest but most successful fight of his life and won, through his acceptance of Christ. His greatest glory was when he fell down he always found a way to get back up.
A Time to Build up
Greg had a love for singing, living life, and he enjoyed, more often than not, a drink or two. Boys to Men was his favorite male group. The energy he demonstrated was that of strength, wittiness and having a big heart toward his family. This too will be remembered in the hearts and memories of those who knew him.
A Time to Mourn
Gregory’s father, Louis Robinson; son, Mario Robinson; and his sister, Debra Chatman also preceded him in transitioning to the next life.
He leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Mary B. Robinson; brothers - Jerry (Caroline) Robinson, Charles Chatman, Carl Chatman, Tonny Chatman, Marshall Robinson; sisters - Faye (Larry) Robinson, Betty Robinson, Emma (Andrew) Brown, Annette Norwood, and Maryann (Charles) Griffin; and a plethora of nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and associates.
A Time to Say Goodbye
If I could speak for Gregory, I can hear him saying, “I Love you family with all my soul. Even during those moments when I caused you a little stress, I had more love for you than you could understand. I want to say I'm sorry. Thank you all for the love, contributions and value you added to my life. However, life has come to a close for me on earth and I am now in a resting place where LOVE is bigger than I've ever imagined. I will never say goodbye; but I will say, I hope to see you all again in the next life. So let the celebration of life begin”.
God did it for me, He will do it for you.....
Sincerely yours,
Your new believer in Christ
