ERNEST LAMONT "E.J." MCCULLOUGH, JR. was born September 17, 1991, in St. Louis, MO. He was the oldest of two children born to Freda Hall and Ernest McCullough, Sr.
Ernest was educated in Saint Louis public schools. When he turned 20, he accepted a hope in Christ at Prince of Peace Missionary Baptist Church, St. Louis, MO, under the leadership of Pastor Willie E. Kilpatrick.
E.J. was Freda's pride and joy. As an infant, he frequently cried for long periods of time. Being a new mother and unsure of why he was crying, Freda would run him to the ER so much that the ER doctors gave her a long list and said, "Miss Hall, if none of these things happen, don't worry. You don't have to bring him in." E.J. loved his mom and she will deeply miss hearing E.J.calling out to her .... "Big Freda or Bird."
As Ernest matured, he was blessed with his own little E.J. who is named, Emmanuel McCullough. His son was his pride and joy, his everything. Still at 11 years of age, E.J. would pick Emmanuel up and kiss him. E.J. spent time with Emmanuel always outside and rapping in the bathroom mirror. The love E.J.'s mom poured into him, he in turn poured into Emmanuel.
Ernest's grandparents, Mandy L. Hall , Lavon Lindsey and Jackie Lindsey all preceded him in death. E.J. leaves everlasting memories to his son, Emmanuel (Raven Taylor); mother, Freda Hall-Morris; father, Ernest McCullough, Sr.; stepfather, Stanley Morris; three sisters, Amanda McCullough, Stanisha Morris, and Egypt Hill; brother, Raymond McCullough; five nieces, Lauren, London, Laci, Lydia, and Xzyria; four nephews, Tristin, Trentin, Trison and O'Neal; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
