ERIC W. BOYD, affectionally known as Rick, was born December 30, 1939 in Saint Louis, Missouri. He was the younger of two children born to Mary Boyd-Wright. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Boyd-Wright, his nephew, Paul Roberts, and his sister, Eloise "Weezie" Ann Roberts.
Eric grew up in Webster Groves, Missouri, and graduated from Webster Groves High School. He also attended classes at Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri.
Eric retired after nearly forty years as a dedicated employee of the United States Postal Service. He became a beloved member of the community that he served as a letter carrier. In his leisure, Eric treasured his cars, enjoyed dancing and concerts, and loved old movies. He also appreciated all kinds of sports and was a devoted St. Louis Cardinals fan. His most memorable trips were to New York City, Las Vegas, and Atlanta.
Eric was respected and loved by his family, friends, and coworkers. He peacefully made the transition from his earthly life to life eternal, on Thursday, January 28, 2021.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his three children, daughters, Natalie Boyd and Falon Boyd; son, Eric Boyd; grandchildren, Austin Hall, Abraham Hall Jr., Ashtyn Ford, and Lauryn Ford; nieces and nephews, Bryan (Butch) Boyd, Janice Boyd, David Roberts, Loretta Roberts, Paula Roberts, and Kenneth Roberts; and a host of loving great nieces, great nephews, and good friends.
