Dewight Remont Price was born April 2, 1968, in Saint Louis, Missouri, to Roosevelt “Rudy” Price and Diane Jones. Dewight received Christ at an early age and was baptized at Clayton Missionary Baptist church under the leadership of Reverend A.D. Dorsey. He was called to rest on April 24, 2022. His father, Roosevelt “Rudy” Price, and grandson, Kyran Johnson, preceded him in death.
Dewight was educated in Saint Louis, Missouri, attending Normandy and Ritenour schools. He worked in construction for many years traveling the country and doing what he loved. Dewight could be found taking pictures at all of the beaches and locations he traveled and worked. He also worked part-time as a cab driver for 10 years up until 2021. Cab driving became his primary vocation after suffering a major injury.
Dewight was always the life of the party, and you were guaranteed to hear him even before you saw him. He knew how to make anyone laugh, especially with his infectious laughter. Dewight never met a stranger, often striking up a conversation with just about anyone. Dewight loved his family and made sure to keep in touch with everyone, because family was always important to him.
The grandest celebration of his life will be held by his most treasured loved ones: his mother, Diane Jones; four daughters, Kirstin Spears, Twuana Price, Amber Price (Nicolas Ehrhard), and Ebony Price; five grandchildren, Karma Johnson, Adonis Warner, Kourtlin Spears, Aniya Ehrhard, and Amari Ehrhard; three sisters, Cimmeron Taylor-Bolar, Roschell Durant, and Doris Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Dewight will truly be missed.
