CURTIS A. MILLER, JR. was born June 26, 1945. He was the first of six children to Curtis A. Miller, Sr., and Alice Hitchcock-Miller.
Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Curtis found the Lord at an early age. He attended Michigan Public Schools, then later further his education in College.
Curtis worked various jobs until he discovered his calling to serve our country and enlisted in the United States Army. His tenure in the Army was not only his calling, but he made it his career. His remarkable and selfless service in the Army spanned 28- and one-half years and earned him many awards and accolades. Curtis retired as a Sergeant First Class.
Curtis met and fell in love with Delnita M. Johnson twentythree years ago. Soon after, the two professed their love for each other with the union of marriage. The two shared a loving life together with four children between them, Robin Bates, Curtis Miller, Tyra Brown and Levert Johnson. Not only was Curtis blessed with children, God also blessed him with eleven grandchildren, six grandsons and five granddaughters.
Curtis is preceded in death by his father, Curtis A. Miller, Sr., and mother, Alice Hitchcock-Miller.
Curtis leaves to cherish memories his wife, Delnita Miller; four children, Robin (Tyrone), Curtis, Tyra, and Levert; sisters, Diane Qames), Sandra (Gene), Gail (Allen), and Angie; and brothers, Ronald (Darlene) and Anthony; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
