Cornelious Mandrid Kilgore was born on April 9, 1997, in St. Louis, MO, to Herman Barnett and Chasity L. Kilgore. He was the second oldest of four children. He had two sisters, Malika and Alexis, and one brother, Dietrich Jr.
Cornelious received Jesus Christ and was baptized at the age of 13. He attended Pattonville High School in the Saint Louis County School District and graduated, receiving the “Positive School Outstanding Student Personal Finance Award,” in May 2016. Immediately aft er graduation, he enrolled in Saint Louis Community College Meramec, located in Kirkwood, MO.
He was employed by General Motors and Spectrum Charter Communications, which gave him the experience of two different work worlds.
Cornelious, so affectionately called “Corn,” was given the name “Dr. Corn,” by a great-great-aunt, Cynthia, when he graduated from preschool, however he chose to be called “Corn” when he became older. Their time together included activities that they enjoyed with so much joy and laughter. Corn also loved to travel and experience so many different things, whether traveling alone, with family, or with friends.
Corn truly enjoyed life with family and friends with one big “WOW,” one after another. While enjoying life, he became a father of two amazing sons, Chastin and Landon, who filled his heart with so much “LOVE.” He immediately took on his fatherly duties and responsibilities with a big smile and great pride. He was an outstanding father, making sure the three of them would be bonded forever.
On Monday, November 1, 2021, our beloved Corn left us, and we are left with precious memories. Corn was preceded in death by: his grandfather, Perry; uncle, Corey Sr.; cousin, Rodney; and in 1991, his grandmother, Joyce;
Cornelious leaves to cherish his memory: his two amazing sons, Chastin and Landon; his loving mother, Chasity (Oddie); dad, Dietrich Sr. (Latonya); two sisters, Malika and Alexis; one brother, Dietrich Jr.; two nieces, Da’Maya and Dyani; two nephews, Durran Jr., and Dummond; grandmother, Arthurine (his “Grammy”); two aunts, Detri and Tammy; one uncle, Terrence, all of St. Louis, MO; Herman Jr. (Pops); grandfather, Herman Sr. aunt, Eboni, and uncle, Quincy, all of Chicago, Illinois; and a very loving host of other aunts and uncles, cousins, and special friends, in both Illinois and Missouri who will miss him dearly.
