Mr. Charles Carr, Sr. Obituary

"Welcome to My Life Journey"

My name is Charles Demetrius Carr, Sr. I was born April 5, 1988, in St. Louis Mo to my wonderful parents Charles Carr and Yolande Durham. To this union three sons were born. I was the youngest of three. I was also blessed to inherit two beautiful sisters.

My grandfathers Hubert Carr, Richards Henderson, Aunt Diane Carr, and my precious daughter, Ava Carr all have preceded me in death.

In 1999 I gave my life to Christ and was baptized at Mt. Airy M.B. Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Charles Brown Sr.  After joining Mt. Airy, I joined the Angel Bell Choir where I enjoyed singing for the Lord.

As a child, I attended Keysor Westchester Elementary and North Middle School. I later continued my education at Kirkwood High School ( Known as the Wood). I was considered one of the top basketball players at Kirkwood High School where I graduated from in 2006.

As I continued my journey called life, I became employed with McDonald's Enterprise and Macy's Call Center. This is how I provided for my children.

If you knew me, you knew I loved the sound of laughter. I loved to put a smile on my family and friends faces. I was that kind of cool young man. I loved life to the fullest and I have no regrets.

Family and friends, my journey has come to an end. My father in heaven has called my name, he has a better place for me.

On Wednesday March 27, 2024, I had a talk with my  Lord and Savior and he heard my cry. I'm walking the streets of Gold.

I leave to cherish my most fond memories to my children Charles Carr Jr, and Chloe Carr. My father Charles Carr, Mother Yolande Durham, My brothers DeAndre Ball, Demond Durham and Carlos Carr, two sisters Jennifer Durham and Dia Clayborn. My sweet and dear grandmother Barbara Brown, My favorite Aunt Annette, Jean, Joyce and bonus aunt Julie. My uncles Richard, Melvin, Chris, Brian and Terry. My cousins Landers, Kenneth, Arika, Justin, Shawn, Stan, Brooklyn, Xavier and Jessica and an entire host of cousins.

I would like to acknowledge the mothers of my children - Precious Cody,  Brittany Rice and special friend "Tony".

To my family and friends this is not goodbye, but I'll see you later.

Yours Truly Mr. Charles Carr.
