Reflections of Mr. Jones' Journey
Anthony Jamal Jones Jr., age 24, of St. Peters, Missouri, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023, after a short battle with a rare form of Kidney Cancer. Anthony was born on July 17, 1998, to Anthony Sr., and Betty Jennings-Jones at Christian Northwest Hospital of St. Louis, Missouri.
Anthony graduated from Fort Zumwalt East High School in 2017. After high school, he furthered his education and received his BS in Business Administration from Columbia Southern University, graduating with the Class of 2021.
He started his first job with True Manufacturing in the parts department. After that career ended, he started working at St. Peters Elementary school as a substitute teacher. Anthony was deeply committed to education and tutored his students at St. Peters Elementary.
Although he was only 24 years old at the time of his death, he reached and impacted the lives of many people in his lifetime. Anthony had so many God-given gifts and talents and the capacity to bring happiness and a bright future to others. He had one of the most important jobs in the world, and that is to teach our children and help mature them to good citizens.
Throughout his lifetime, he was full of smiles and laughter, always doing great deeds. Most importantly, Anthony would always seem to look at the brighter things in life and never said a bad word about anyone. He remained a faithful Christian for his entire short life.
Anthony will be missed by his parents Anthony Sr., and Betty; his brother Robert D. Jennings, Jr; his grandmother Geraldine Spight; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and friends.
