Mr. Andre ("Dre") Scott

Our beloved brother Andre Scott was born on May 9, 1960 in St. Louis, MO to Tommie Gillespie and Dollie Jean Scott. His father, mother, brother (Montrell Scott), sister (Debra Scott), and stepfather (Duffie Stanley Clark) preceded him in death along with his uncles, grand and great grandparents. 

Andre attended St. Louis Public Schools and graduated from Northwest High School in 1979. After graduating, Andre enrolled into a vocational training school to take up carpentry as a trade. His education and skillset would pay off and became a career working various rehab projects as well as jobs in maintenance and warehouses until 2019. 

Andre gave his life to the Lord at an early age. He was baptized in Jesus Name at Believer's Temple Word Fellowship Church under the leadership of Bishop Calvin Scott, his brother. Anyone who knew Andre would tell you, he knew the bible very well and was a great teacher of the word. He would light up talking about God and how good God had been in his life. He was compassionate, loving and would help anyone ! 

Andre had a BIG heart!! He loved to make people laugh, and people loved being around him. Andre was our family great storyteller ! He always had a story about growing up as a kid, adult experiences, the old neighborhood, about mom and his stepdad, or just stories from our many family gatherings. Many of these stories he shared while helping his mom prepare meals for holidays or cakes and banana puddings for Sunday sales at church. Andre loved his mom dearly and he was her bar-b-que man on the grill. Even if it was snowing outdoors, mom had him on the grill cooking! He could NEVER say NO to his mom! 

God dispatched his angels to bring Andre home December 23, 2020 to continue to be with Him and put his soul at peace. 

Andre leaves to cherish his memories: his siblings, Calvin (Deborah) Scott, Ronnie Scott, of St. Louis, MO, Cynthia (Butch) Ramsey, Dallas, TX; Buffie Scott, Selena Scott, La Wanda Q ere) Scott-Woods, and Cedric Scott, all of St. Louis, MO; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, and friends.
