On October 22, 1965, God breathed the breath of life into Amos Antonio McCray to the proud parents of Lizzy McCray and Amos Jones in Clarksdale, Mississippi. His parents, grandparents, Charles and Mattie Keys; oldest sister, Mardie Sonnier; brother-in-law, Clement Sonnier; brother, Raymond McCray; nephews, Clement Sonnier Jr., Venice Lofton, and Anthony Lofton all preceded him in death.
Amos received his education at Myrtle Hall Elementary, Higgins Junior High and Clarksdale High School. In 1983 he decided to move to St Louis, Missouri with his sisters, Mardie and Yenessia. He took up a trade in Plumbing and Construction where he received his certificates. Together with his two best friends, Shortie and Kevin, they became the proud owners of S&T Demolition Company.
In 1984, he became the proud father of his first born son, Brandon, with Audrey; six years later a beautiful daughter, Tre' Nece, with Sylvia; two years later, a second beautiful daughter, Aimeshia with Kathleen; and six years later a son, Antonio, with Felicia. In 1998, he was united in Holy Matrimony with Patrice to this union he was blessed with two more children, Jocelyn and Jayden.
In 2015, he confessed his life with Christ and joined Pursue Church under Apostle Keith and Pastor Valarie Kisart. In 2018, Amos was diagnose with Cancer. He put up a good fight with the help of his oldest niece, Belinda, and his daughter, Tre'Nece, whom he held dear to his heart. He battled for three years until God called him home on October 19, 2021.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories his three sons, Brandon, Antonio and Jayden; three beautiful daughters, Tre'Nece, Aimeshia (Jamie) and Jocelyn; eight grandchildren, Asha, Brandon Jr, Lamont, Ki'Asa, Cortez, Ki'Ana, Cortland, and KyRek; one sister Yenessia; one brother, Cleveland; two nieces, Belinda and Catrice; nine nephews Cleveland Jr., Bryant (Vondreal), Cedrick, Venice Jr., Majerius, Burto (Tonya), Jamel (Jamika), Jamond and Jayray, three great nephews Tommie (Adrienne), Ricky and Jordan; three great nieces Jalesa(Raymond), Kiara and Destiny; three special friends, Vonsha, Shortie and Kevin; and a host of great-great nieces and great-great nephews, cousins and friends.
