Mother Ruth Marie Robinson

RUTH MARIE ROBINSON (MCKISSICK) was born to York and Virginia McKissick at their home on May 27, 1930, in St. Louis, Missouri. She was the eldest girl of 9 siblings, which included Virgil, Daisy, York Jr. IV,Joseph, Naomi, Benjamin, Gloria and Doris McKissick. Joseph is the surviving sibling, while all others preceded her in death. 

She was a proud alumnus of Sumner High School, which ultimately led to one of her favorite colors being Maroon. From there she continued her schooling and graduated at the age of 22 from Hadley Tech, which is now known as Harris Stowe. That led to her becoming an Auditor for the Internal Revenue Service for 33 years until she retired. 

From an early age, Ruth was a devout Christian. She always believed in the Word of God and lived her days being a firm tither and a woman of service. She loved her congregation, and called herself "God's Baby Ruth", a title that is very fitting. In between that time, she married twice. First to lrven, which brought about 3 children, Billy,· Rosalyn and Jewell. Second, to Floyd, from that marriage she widowed. 

Ruth was a spunky woman, who spoke her mind and enjoyed having a good laugh. She LOVED her sweets, being able to crochet, spend time with her family and always stayed fashionable. 

Ruth is survived by the above-mentioned children, her grandkids, Jovan (Saivon), Lisa, Katrina (Na'ila); a host of other family including Josie, Kim, Tiffany, Shawn, Corey, and plenty others whom she loved dearly.
