Mildred Marie Walters was born in New Madrid, Missouri on July 12, 1949 to parents, Annie and Sam Withworth. She grew up in a large family consisting of 5 sisters and 5 brothers but was ultimately raised by her oldest sister Irene Simpson who Mildred viewed as a maternal figure in her life. She was educated in Catholic Schools through 12 th grade and had some college education. She loved the lord and grew up Pentecostal and continued to praise the Lord even after she received the news about her condition. She was a vibrant soul yet reclusive at the same time, however those who knew her best saw the way she would light up a room when she was comfortable around the individual company she enjoyed.

Mildred worked at Cruisin USA as a seamstress for the past 26 years. She specialized in chain stitch embroidery where she was part of a small group of individual who mastered this technique. She loved what she did and found joy and peace going to work every day as she was viewed more as family with ownership of the company than an employee. During her time with this company she have made numerous item for famous athlete’s, musician’s, but most importantly family. Mildred truly had many sides that we still are learning about even in death. We discovered her love for cats and surprising enough Cardi B music, I guess she liked the funny noises and adlibs she makes. One thing all of her children has realized in her death is that she has presented us all with a unique opportunity to change the trajectory of our lives to make sure keep our legacy intact. She was the true embodiment of a Proverbs 31 Virtuous Woman and will be truly missed.
