Kristopher Huddleston Obituary

Kristopher Devonte Lavell Huddleston took his first breath on July 11, 1992. He was born to Shavella Huddleston and Ronnell Maurice Hammond. When Kris was 7 years old, his mother remarried Vincent Eric Hill who assumed the role of his stepfather for the remainder of his life.

Kris "Lala" Huddleston accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized in the Name of Jesus for the remission of his sins. He was a member of Faith Miracle Temple and was able to give his life to the Lord before graduating Normandy High School in 2011. He then attended college in Columbia, MO where he had full intentions to take up a major and graduate, but life had a different plan for him. After his move to Columbia, MO he was able to work smart and become a supervisor at Joe Machens, a local mechanical shop, where he worked for 3 years. Eventually, he made his way back to the St. Louis area and planted his feet again to start anew.

While back in his hometown, he had a passion for watching and playing football. In fact, he was extremely athletic and was named MVP a few times starting at youth ball and all the way through high school. He loved fishing with his late Grandpa William, watching sports with his great uncle Dennis, playing with his nephew Mason, and helping feed the chickens with grandmother Arlean. He also enjoyed spending time with his best friend Dana Moss. If there is one thing to be told - Kris loved his family and we loved him too!

Kris was preceded in death by his grandfather William Wilkerson. On June 18, 2020 - Kris took his last breath. The news traveled through the family fast and broke the hearts of many. Kris had a contagious aura of good energy he gave off. He loved life and wanted the people around him to also love life. He joked, we laughed and we cried and celebrated all moments when Kris was around. So today, like no different than the others, we will cry, we will laugh, but most of all we will celebrate the life of our son, brother, cousin, nephew, grandson, and friend. We will reminisce on the good memories we had with him, as that is what he left us with. It is okay to be sad for his death and that his physical being is no longer with us; but we should not dwell there. You will be missed more than anyone could put into words.

Kris leaves behind his mother Shavella (Vincent Eric); father, Ronnell Maurice Hammond; brother, Averion Darnell Hill; adoptive brother, Khalil Ranson; nephew, Mason Nasir Barry; grandmothers, Arlean Wilkerson and Joanne Hammond; his Godmother, Denise Hogan; aunt, Trinette and two uncles, Marvell Huddleston and Gerry Wilkerson; and a plethora of cousins, great aunts, great uncles, and people who loved him endlessly!
