GLENN L. JEWELS was born on March 2, 1960 in Kokomo, Mississippi. He was the seventh born to the union of J.W. and Beatrice Jewels.
Glenn attended Vashon High School in St. Louis, Missouri. He worked at Ford Motor Hall and Dutch Town Nursing Home.
Glenn had a contagious smile that would light up a room. He was friendly, outgoing, and the life of the party. His personality always stood out which made it hard for anyone to forget him. Glenn loved listening to blues and hearing his sister Wilma sing. He also loved spending time with his family, especially his daughter, Beatrice and son-in-law, Emmitt.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Mack, Larry, and James; sisters, Renona, Rose, and Wilma; daughter, Tarwanaka McCulley (Bud); nephew; Kelwin Drewer (Kevi Kev); grandson, Emmitt Dawson Jr.; grandmothers, Annie Mae Smith and Wilma Ford; and longtime friend, Saundra Richardson.
He leaves to cherish his memories: daughters; Beatrice Jewels Dawson (Emmitt), Timika McCulley (Efiong), Betty "Sherry" McCulley (Anthony), and Cheron Morgan (Corey); sons, Glen Jewels Jr. (Monique), Jason McCulley (Kim), and Anthony McCulley; sister, Anna-Ruth; brothers, Herman Dosey (Pam), Willie Riggins Qean), Richard Jewels, and James Jewels; aunts, Berniece Braxton and Georgia Ann Young; 22 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and a special friend, Marsha McCulley.
