MR. ELIGHTER FOUGHTER, SR. was born on April 27, 1940, son of the late Annie Mae Holly and Mose Foughter in Wilmot, AR.
Elighter attended school in Grady, AR. At a young age, he became the father of a beautiful daughter. At the age of twenty, he married Lois and from that union four children were born. He later had two additional sons.
Elighter was blessed in love with wife, Arlene Foughter, and daughter on March 7, 2003.
Elighter moved his family to St. Louis, MO where he worked for American Car Foundry in the Sparklin Division. He also worked for Scullin Steele Company until it closed. He was always at the table if Dominos were in play. If you needed to deliver or move anything - his truck was always available . He was Uber before Uber was Uber when it came to giving a ride to those in need (Lol). In retirement, he was a handyman and owned his own lawn care business - as he was one that always loved to keep busy.
Elighter accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized as an adult under the leadership of Pastor Phillip Parker at Overland Pentecostal Church in St. Louis, MO.
Elighter received his wings on Sunday night, February 16, 2020 at Barnes Hospital.
