On June 2, 2020, EDNA MAE TRICE, at the age of 79 went home to be with the LORD.
Edna was born in Pace, Mississippi to Ella Louise Wiley and Willie Richard, in 1940, both preceded her in death. Edna was the oldest of 13 children. Her parents, 4 siblings-Jerrie Richard-Jackson, Vera Atkins, Betty Richard Robinson, Uncle J.R. (presumably); 1 niece - Darla Taylor-Miller and 1 nephew - Douglas Trice, III; and 1 son-in-law - Leroy Luckett, all preceded her in death.
At a young age, she moved to Lovejoy, IL, where she attended grade school and then graduated from Beaumont High School in St. Louis, MO.
After graduating, she pursued her career as a medical tech, working at Barnes Hospital and then at Mallinckrodt Radio Pharmaceuticals for 40
Edna was united in Holy Matrimony to Douglas Trice, Sr. for over 30 years. He preceded her in death.
Edna gave her life to Christ at a young age. She was a member of Friendly Temple Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of pastor Michael Jones, where she was a faithful member of the usher board.
Edna loved traveling, gardening, cooking and her expansive Pig Collection. She loved gatherings with her family and friends. She was known for hosting many family get togethers.
Edna leaves to cherish her memory: 6 children, Melba Edward, Douglas Trice, Jr. (Sherry), Janna Bowers, Barbara Luckett, Natalie Trice, Donald Trice, Sr. (Phyllis), and her youngest child, Dana Mone' Trice; 4 sisters, Ollie Richard (Lewis) Zimmerman, Katherine Richard, Mary Ann (RC) Richard Warlow from Chicago and from Austin, TX, Jonnie Oerry) Richard-Horn; 4 brothers, William Cody (Marcie) from Chicago and from Mississippi, Willie Richard, Jr. (Virginia), Walter Richard (Virginia), and Charles Richard (Barbara); 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
