CHARLES HANEY, Loving Dad, passed away peacefully in the city of Berkeley, Missouri where he lived for decades.
Charles Haney was born to father, Archie R. Haney, and mother, Florence Bobbie Jean Simon. Charles' wife, Edna Haney, passed 14 years earlier. He is also preceded in death by sisters, Helen Smith, Nina Collins, and Loretta Ray; and brother, Reece Foster.
Charles Haney served in the military under the rank of SFCE6, for 20 years. He was trained as a military police officer. He became an employee of McDonnell Douglas as the first black security officer where he retired after 29 years of service with distinction.
Charles was a Mason member of Square Deal #159 of Gold Card Status.
He loved family and life which is why he always had a laughing joke to tell. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and always remembered in their hearts.
He leaves behind sisters: Franchesca Jett and Estella TaylorWhytus (Ricky); his children: Byron, Dana, Alicia, Albion (Marilyn), Elvin (Tracy) and W Edna; grandchildren: Jerman, Tiarra, Damon, Elvin Jr., Christopher, Andrew, Domanick, Antaja, Omar; nine great grandchildren; special friends: Lakeisha Fortenberry and Michele L Reed; nieces: Loretta, Beatrice, Anita, Amanda, Penny, Clydette, Dina, and Valerie; nephews: Johnny, Frank, Boyce, Isaac, Reece, Terry, Butchie, Frankie, Dexter, Denzil, and Herman.
