Brenda Powell was born December 16, 1966 to Virginia Powell and Charlie Duke Jackson. She professed her love for Christ at an early age. She was educated in the St. Louis Public School System where she graduated from Central Visual and Performing Arts High School. Brenda was a hard working individual who worked 'til the very last days of her life.
Bren, as everyone called her, was full of laughter and life. She was the life of the party. Her dance moves would get any party started. She touched many lives with her caring spirit. If she could help out in any way, she would. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved all the kids as her own. Her most recent past times were spent with family and friends. She was ecstatic as she was preparing for the arrival of her grandchild, Akira Davis.
Bren was preceded in death by her father, Charlie Duke Jackson; her sister, Ulonda Powell; and nephew, Deandre Thomas.
She leaves to celebrate her memory: her mother, Virginia Powell; daughter, Abria Maltos; granddaughter, Akira Davis; sisters, Audrey and Stephanie Powell; nephews, Derrick, Greg (Shay), Kenneth, Phillip, Darion and Travis Jr.; nieces, Phyllis, Kendra (Travis), Alexius, Unique, Kameryn, Kelis, Addison and Aniya; and a host of other relatives. She leaves behind a special relationship with her daughter/niece, Britaney Poke; and grandson/ nephew, Kylen Poke.
