Benshalee Monique-Willemae ("Shay") Burks-Ewing

Benshalee Ewing was born March 18, 1994 in St. Louis, Missouri to JoAnn Ewing and Ben Burks. She was the youngest of three born to her mother, and the third of seven to her father. 

Shay attended school at Sumner High School. Our diva had a passion for doing hair and makeup. She continued to do her up until her passing. 

With her outgoing personality, she made friends everywhere she went. At the age of 16 Shay met the love of her Jerry Scott. August 3, 2013, Shay and Jerry welcomes their one and only child together, Jer'Shad Kevin Scott. Although he was her only biological child, she loved all of their children. 

Shay loved, loved, loved dressing her son. At times she treated him like her own male Barbie doll. Jer' Shad will forever be the freshest kid wherever he goes. 

Shay was baptized. God called her home February 28, 2020. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Joe Nathan "POP" Ewing, the love of her life Jerry Scott, grantee always grandparents Peopco & Laura Burks. 

Her memories will forever be cherished by her mother JoAnn Ewing (Roshon), father Ben Burks (Janice), her silDlings Johnathan Mario Ewing, Precious (Derrick) Covington, YoBen Burks, Benshel Burks, Brand Burks, Ben Burks Jr, Benton Burks, Benzo Burks, her son Jer' Shad, niece and nep)lews DeAnna, Aiden, Amere, Derrick Jr, Deyon, and a host 0f aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
