Justin Deon Jones, “Justo”, was born December 3, 1993, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Nichole Woods and Lester Deon Jones. He was raised by Terrence Anderson. On December 3, 2019, Justin traded his arms for wings, and joined his father, Lester Deon Jones, and grandmothers, “Pug” and “Lula”, in Heaven.
Justin gave his life to Christ at an early age and was baptized by Reverend Boyd. He was educated in the St. Louis public school system, where he graduated from Riverview Gardens High School. While in high school, Justin joined the #1 step team, “Gentlemen of Vision”, where he helped win six national championships. Justin also became a mentor of a step team called “The Ground Breakers”.
Justin’s first years of college were spent at Arkansas State, where he majored in Criminal Justice and minored in Psychology. He then came home to St. Louis and enrolled in Harris Stowe State University, where he received more honors for his service in the community as a member of BMI (The Black Man Initiative), 100 Black Men, and the NAACP campus chapter.
He leaves behind to cherish memories: his mother, Nichole Woods; grandmother, Eddie Jean Jones; great-grandmother, Mary Nalls; three brothers, Lamarr, Deshawn, and Steven; four sisters, De’Ana, Rosalyn, Sherefee, and Shontell; special friend, Lauren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends who loved him dearly.
